MMOexp Borderlands 4: Unlocking The Lockaway Safehouse

Second, once unlocked, it becomes a vital Safehouse you can revisit later.

From here, the route remains mostly linear. Advance along the suspended paths, fighting or dodging Dominion patrols as needed, until you eventually drop down into a cave system. This section is significant: it unlocks your first Fast Travel Station in Borderlands 4 Boosting Dominion, known as Final Defiance.

Take a moment to activate this station - you'll thank yourself later when you need a quick return point. Afterward, you'll hear dialogue from Levaine, who provides story context and motivation for the mission. When the conversation ends, proceed down the rock slide ahead. Keep heading east through the Carcadia District until you reach your next objective: The Lockaway.

Unlocking The Lockaway Safehouse

The Lockaway serves two functions in this mission. First, it's a key checkpoint for the Falling Wall storyline. Second, once unlocked, it becomes a vital Safehouse you can revisit later.

Inside The Lockaway, turn your attention to the northwest wall. You'll notice a large mural of the Timekeeper, painted ominously across the stone. This mural isn't just decoration - it conceals your path forward. Use your grappling hook to climb up the wall, pulling yourself higher into the hidden passage.

Continue climbing up the stairs beyond the mural, then grapple once more to reach a secluded platform. On a table against the north wall, you'll find the crucial Datapad. Pick it up to trigger the next sequence.

Using the Datapad and Activating the Safehouse

With the Lockaway Datapad in your possession, your next stop is the command console. Look across from the Golden Chest in the room, and you'll spot it. Interact with the console to begin the Safehouse activation sequence.

This step both advances the Falling Wall quest and permanently unlocks The Lockaway as a Safehouse hub. Once activated, you'll be able to fast travel here at will, resupply, and regroup for the challenges deeper inside Dominion.

Finally, return to Levaine and speak with him to officially complete the mission objective. This marks the end of the Falling Wall walkthrough, though your larger journey into Dominion and your battle against the Timekeeper is only just beginning.

Tips for Completing Falling Wall Smoothly

Keep an eye out for grapple points. Much of the mission's progression depends on spotting where to climb next. The environment design is linear but can be disorienting in cluttered areas.

Use the Fast Travel Station at Final Defiance immediately. Skipping this can cost you a lot of backtracking later if you go down in Dominion.

Save your ammo during the climb. Enemies appear in small skirmishes, but the vertical navigation makes it easy to waste bullets. Conserve your best weapons for tougher encounters.

Grab the Datapad before exploring too far. It's easy to Borderlands 4 Farming get distracted by loot or side passages, but the Datapad is required to finish the mission.
