Where to Find Elder Madox in Path of Exile 2

Players will encounter Elder Madox while traveling through Path of Exile 2 Currency the Kriar Peaks during the Interludes. He isn't marked on the map, and reaching him requires keen observation. His location is tucked away in a secluded area, usually near a checkpoint, along an offbeat path that is easy to miss if you rush forward.
The Spirit Bird Clue
The best indicator that you're near Elder Madox is the appearance of blue spirit birds. These ethereal creatures appear only when you're close to his hidden location, and the very first one spawns right beside a checkpoint.
Once you see the spirit birds:
1. Slow down and explore carefully. Look around for narrow paths branching away from the main route.
2. Follow the birds. They subtly guide you toward the secluded area where Elder Madox waits.
3. Locate the checkpoint path. His spot is always tied to a nearby checkpoint, so check the surrounding terrain thoroughly.

Elder Madox's Offerings
When you speak to Elder Madox, he will present a selection of random Unique Path of Exile 2 items and allow you to choose one for free. The stock varies per encounter, and while the options may not always align with your current build, the opportunity is too good to pass up.

Cost: Free - only one choice per encounter
If you accept a Unique, Elder Madox disappears from that instance. However, if you don't find anything useful, you can reroll his stock using a specific method.
How to Reset Elder Madox's Shop
Unlike other vendors in Path of Exile 2, Elder Madox's stock cannot be refreshed by waiting, creating a new instance, or simply logging out and back in. Instead, the process ties directly to the level scaling of Kriar Peaks.
Here's how to reset Elder Madox's Uniques:
1. Increase your character level by at least one.
2. Complete any quest in the game.
Both conditions must be fulfilled. Doing only one is not enough. Once these are completed, the Kriar Peaks map level will increase by one. For example:
